Join LinkAge on Wednesday 25th May for our jam packed Taster Day in Stockwood.
The Taster Day is a fun event to showcase LinkAge’s work in the Stockwood community, as well as a chance for local over 55's to try taster sessions for new activities.
Taking place at South Bristol Sports Centre, West Town Lane, BS14 8SP from 10am – 2pm, the event will be free to attend and there will be tea, coffee, biscuits and cake provided.
The taster sessions taking place on the day are:
10:15am – Holiday French – A basic French language class aimed at teaching useful French for your holidays
11:00am – Walking Rugby – A brand new activity taught by Bristol Rugby Club. A slower, non-contact version of rugby.
12:00pm – New Age Kurling – A fun game that can be played by all abilities. Described as Kurling without the ice!
1:00pm – Dance for Beginners – A fun class introducing people to many different dance styles from ballroom to Bollywood.
All Day – Creating with Clay – A pottery workshop running all day with the chance to have a go throwing on a potters wheel.
There will also be stalls from other organisations including Macmillan, Action for Blind People, The Care Forum, Healthwatch, St Monica Community Fund, Well Aware and the Dementia Wellbeing Service.
