Easton Wellbeing Day 2016

The first of our Wellbeing Days in the East of the city took place last week, at Easton Leisure Centre. On Monday 20th June, 26 local older people dropped in for an afternoon of activities and information.

The day started with a Line Dancing taster session followed by Zumba Gold, Badminton and Cricket. All of the sessions were popular with those who attended and there are now plans to start a regular Line Dancing class very soon.

On the day we were also joined by local organisations Well Aware, The Care Forum, Healthwatch Bristol and LinkAge's Macmillan Prevention and Re-enablement Team.

One attendee said, “I never thought at the beginning of today that I would be playing cricket or badminton. I had a great time and it was very enjoyable."
