A Big Thank You to all our Volunteers

Billed as an elegant twilight soiree, this year we said a heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful volunteers in style.

Local law firm Clarke Willmott very kindly donated their lovely riverside office atrium and Aniseed Catering served some tasty canapés and wine to our guests. Musical accompaniment was provided by John our Fundraising Officer and his Smokey River Band who played some soulful tunes and kept us all entertained. Hannah Currant, Redcliffe's Community Development Officer organised a fantastic selection of raffle prizes which were kindly donated by St Mary Redcliffe Church and The Double Tree by Hilton hotel.

It was a very informal event with some lovely speeches from David Cottam, Operations Manager at St Monica Trust and a LinkAge trustee, who spoke about the fantastic contribution volunteers make across all the LinkAge partners. Heledd Wyn from Clarke Willmott spoke and praised the work that LinkAge does and then three volunteers spoke with passion about their experience, including Jacques Hann, Robin Crowther-Smith and Margaret Oxenham.

Volunteers are the heart of LinkAge and the time, care and devotion they give is inspiring to us all. Whether as Walk Leaders, Befrienders, Advisory Group Members or Activity volunteers all our volunteers play a hugely important and crucial role in allowing us to grow, reach out to more people 55+ and make a difference in their lives.

We would like to say a big thank you to you all, and also to Clarke Willmott for their generous sponsorship of the event and to Aniseed Catering for the lovely food they served. We look forward to working with you all in the coming year.
