LinkAge Network’s Community Development for Older People project, funded by Bristol Ageing Better, will be coming to an end in March.
Over three years our Community Development Coordinators (CDCs) have been working across Bristol to support and connect organisations by offering space for community workers and activists to network, discuss practice and collaborate; encourage asset-based approaches where older people are leading and making decisions in their groups; encourage new opportunities in areas where there has been a lack of activity and offered training and support.
Our Community Development Coordinators Wendy, Tracy, Magda will continue in their role until the end of March when the project ends. Emma leaves at the end of February.
Message from the CDCs: “We would like to say a big thank you to organisations and individuals we have worked with over the last three years, it’s been a pleasure working with you all. We hope we have made a difference and that the community and voluntary sector working with people over 50, continues to thrive. We are all remaining in Bristol, so we may see you at an event or activity in the future.”
