We have joined forces with The Bristol Hippodrome to bring you the Matinee Mingle for anyone over 60 looking to meet new people!
What is the Matinee Mingle? It is a club that aims to bring together individuals who share a love for theatre but might not have anyone to go with. Matinee Mingles will take place before selected mid-week matinee performances. Members will be treated to complimentary tea and coffee and a place to socialise with other members before the show.
How does it work? Once you’re signed up, The Bristol Hippodrome will let you know the details of upcoming meetings, which performances the Matinee Mingles will be on and how much tickets will be with the mid-week matinee concession. Minglers will then meet one hour before selected mid-week matinee performances to enjoy a hot drink and a chit-chat.
Rhona Cockle, who attends the Matinee Mingle, said:
“It’s such a nice way for people to gain confidence and meet friends in a world where being on your own can be quite daunting when you are older.”
When is the next meeting? See performances listed below. Also, once you have joined you will receive regular updates on the Matinee Mingle dates.
Does it cost anything? Attending a meeting is free of charge. All you need to do is buy your ticket for the show at the discounted mid-week matinee rate.
How do I join? Anyone wishing to attend needs to contact firstname.lastname@example.org to register beforehand. On the day, just show your ticket to the performance and meet the rest of the Minglers at the Piano Bar.
Please note: Tickets for performances must be purchased through the Bristol Hippodrome’s website at www.ATGtickets.com/Bristol *, calling 0844 871 3012* or by popping into the Box Office. Please be sure to ask for the mid-week matinee rate.
*Fees may apply. All sales including, but not limited to, tickets, promotions, discounts and concessions are subject to terms and conditions of sale and availability, cannot be used on premium seats, in conjunction with any other discount or applied retrospectively. Calls cost up to 7p per minute plus your phone company’s access charge.
