The Benefits
Evidence has shown that being active during or after treatment can improve your overall health and wellbeing by:
- Aiding recovery
- Reducing the risk of recurrence
- Reducing tiredness and fatigue
- Managing stress, anxiety, low mood and depression
- Improving bone and heart health
- Building muscle strength and maintaining a healthy weight
- Improving sleep and appetite
- Prevention or control of constipation
What do we offer?
Tailored information – you will receive a personal pack providing you with information and guidance to help you get moving after cancer.
Activity Taster Tokens – we have teamed up with activity providers across Bristol to offer you the opportunity to access up to 5 physical, creative and social activities for free, using our Taster Token scheme*.
Wellbeing Days – showcasing activities and services available across Bristol in a safe and supportive environment. Try something new, get support and make friends.
Exciting opportunities – whether it’s joining our Advisory Group to help steer our project, lending a hand at our Wellbeing events, or simply becoming more socially engaged through our free events, we’ve got you covered.
