Macmillan Prevention and Re-enablement Project on BBC Radio Bristol

Did you hear our Macmillan Prevention and Re-enablement Project Advisory Group member Maurice on BBC Radio Bristol’s Clueless show?

Advisory Group member Maurice made a plan over 7 years ago to start some gentle walking to support him in his cancer recovery, and 7 years later he is still doing just that,

Once a week, half past ten, every Tuesday, I still go to that walk. I feel energised, and healthier generally speaking. Healthier than I’ve felt for many years”.

Maurice joined our Macmillan Prevention and Re-enablement Project Manager Sally Crocker on the Clueless show on Sunday 11th March, to talk with presenter Martin Evans about our upcoming North Bristol Macmillan Spring Wellbeing Day and the positive impacts of being active during or after cancer treatment.

The North Bristol Macmillan Spring Wellbeing Day on Wednesday 21st March, is an opportunity for people to try a variety of fun, creative and physical activities including Singing, Gentle Exercise, Ballroom Dancing, Walking Sports and Wellbeing Arts.
