Fitness That’s Strictly Fun

If you settled down at the weekend to watch the sequins fly during Strictly Come Dancing, then we have just the activity for you!  Qualified dance tutor Norma Daykin is launching a new Fit Steps class at The Beehive Centre on Thursday 2 October. Fit Steps is a new exercise programme designed by Strictly star Natalie Lowe, that uses ballroom steps to help you get moving and get fit.

You don’t need a partner, and Norma has tailored the class for over 55s and those with limited mobility. “Norma ran a Fit Steps taster session at our Wellbeing Day in the summer” explains Balbir Nirwan, LinkAge Community Development Worker “People responded really well, it was lots of fun learning the steps, so we decided to set up this regular session.” The class will run on Thursdays at 2.00-3.00pm. You can try out the first session for free, and then it’s just £3.50 per week.
