Bedminster Wellbeing Day 2016 – In or Out!


 

All over 55's are invited to LinkAge’s upcoming Wellbeing Day in Bedminster on EU Referendum Day, Thursday 23rd June. 

The day is a fun event to showcase LinkAge’s work in the Greater Bedminster community as well as a chance to try out taster sessions of new activities. So cast your votes and while you’re OUT, please pop IN to say hello. There will be lots of opportunities to meet new people from your local community, as well as the opportunity for some pampering from our in house manicurist and masseuse.

The wellbeing day will take place at The Tobacco Factory Theatre Café, Raleigh Road, BS3 1TF from 10am – 2pm on Thursday 23rd June. It is FREE to attend and there will be tea and coffee and lunches available.

The following taster sessions will be taking place on the day and a few more are still to be booked:

10:30am – Creating with Clay – Pottery workshop including a chance to try out throwing on a potter’s wheel        

11:15am – Chair Yoga – Seated exercise class good for improving strength, balance and flexibility

12:30pm – Creating With Clay – Pottery workshop including a chance to try out throwing on a potter’s wheel                                                                                       

1:00pm – Line Dancing Demonstration – Other LinkAgers from North Bristol coming to show BS3 their Line Dancing prowess. People welcome to join in.

On the day – FREE Manicures & Massages

There will also be stalls from other organisations including Macmillan, Action for Blind People, The Care Forum, Healthwatch, St Monica Community Fund, Well Aware and the Dementia Wellbeing Service.
