Tuesday 17th November was a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious night at the theatre, for 95 of our LinkAge participants. The multi award-winning Mary Poppins dazzled the audience at Bristol Hippodrome, and laughter, cheering and singing could be heard from the over 55s in the Grand Circle.
The modern day twist on Mary Poppins wowed the audience, with new and old songs such as Jolly Holiday and Step in Time getting our feet tapping and our hands clapping. Our voices were put to the test on the night, with everyone trying their best to keep up with the spectacular vocals of the cast.
“It was absolutely fabulous, I came out really happy!” "It was fantastic!"
“Amazing, brilliant production especially the choreography in the Supercalifraglisticexpialidocious scene. Everyone enjoyed the show”
“We would never have been able to afford this“
“The changing of scenery was amazing and the effects were great”
The visit to Bristol Hippodrome not only gave our participants the opportunity to meet new people and have a fun-filled evening, but it also gave some a new found confidence, not only to visit the theatre, but to venture out of the house in the evening.
“I can’t remember the last time I went out in an evening. It was beautiful”
"This is the first time that I have come out at night in 19 years."
LinkAge would like to thank Bristol Hippodrome for their support and are looking forward to some exciting joint activities in 2016.
